At Cambridge Seminars College, our core mission is to ensure every student can fulfil their academic potential and achieve their life aspirations. Alongside this, we see our students as unique individuals, and guide them in developing their self-confidence, maturity, knowledge, study and life skills.
We achieve this together through setting clear standards for behaviour, hard-work and learning, within a friendly, welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Our high-quality teaching, continuous assessment and progress tracking, combines with excellent academic guidance and pastoral support to cultivate a culture of success, support, and challenge. This ensures our students are well looked after, happy, and as successful as they can be in achieving their potential.
1) Small size classes - In each class, we have only 3 - 5 students max. so that the student gets focused and personalised attention.
2) UCAS Workshops - The UCAS workshops ensure that university applications are completed comprehensively and ahead of time, giving the best chance of progression, and removing any last-minute stress. All students attend a series of workshops during their course, where our specialist tutor takes them through the university application process step-by-step. This starts with identifying five university and course destinations, working on and perfecting personal statements and completing all stages of the application form. The final stage is clicking ‘send’ and waiting for the offers from target universities.
3) TRACES - We focus on how to cite correctly and avoid plagiarism, the Harvard/MHRA referencing systems, and how to read, note-take, research, find and summarise information effectively as this will help when you're doing your assignments in this college and in University.
4) Support Courses (Academic English) - The vast majority of our international students require the development of their English both to study effectively and to achieve the necessary IELTS score for university entry. Alongside our academic classes, all students also study 10 hours of Academic English per week.
