MIU is li­censed by the Florida De­part­ment of Ed­u­ca­tion’s Com­mis­sion for In­de­pen­dent Ed­u­ca­tion (CIE) to offer post-sec­ondary ed­u­ca­tion pro­grams and has the au­thor­ity to grant de­grees under Florida state law. The Uni­ver­sity is also ac­cred­ited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges & Schools (ACICS).
