Quinnipiac University has existed in some form since 1929, although it was officially given its current name in 2000 to reflect the growing breadth of academic programs offered by the institution. A private university based in Hamden, Connecticut, it is one of the leading institutions in the US for academic quality and employability.

The university has three campuses – the Mount Carmel and York Hill campuses based in Hamden, and the North Haven Campus situated just north of New Haven.
