As technology advances, there are always new breakthroughs in science. With the Diploma in Biotechnology (DBIO), you will be leading the way to tackle ongoing global challenges in food, health and genetic engineering.
Through biotechnology, you will acquire knowledge on a broad spectrum of areas. You will learn to leverage technology to improve agricultural quality and production, formulate and innovate foods with enhanced nutrition, and develop effective biological therapeutics for disease treatment.
The course offers two specialisation tracks – Biologics or Food and Agrotech. Both tracks will prepare you with the essential competencies and skillsets to be ready for the relevant industries.
Experience the real-world impact of biotechnology as you embark on industry internships and collaborative projects with major companies that include Roche Singapore Technical Operations, Novartis, A*STAR research institutes, National Cancer Centre Singapore, Symrise Asia Pacific, Comcrop, Sustenir, Wilmar International, and Singapore Food Agency.

Further Studies
RP graduates are well-placed to embark on meaningful careers, immediately after graduation. They could even improve their employability by taking part-time courses or SkillsFuture Work-Study Programmes (WSPs).
What’s more, every RP diploma is recognised and has a pathway leading to a relevant degree with top local and overseas universities. RP graduates may complete their degrees in just over two or three years in a four-year programme.
Skills Deepening
Upon graduation, DBIO students can choose to deepen their skills and knowledge in a chosen field before embarking on their career. They could either sign up for part-time courses or pursue WSPs. Please visit our lifelong learning page to find out more.
