Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Advanced Diplomas and Degrees (Ontario College Certificate) (41599)
The graduate has reliably demonstrated the ability to:
1. Examine biological concepts, processes and systems of the human body, including genetics and epigenetics, as well as the structure, function and properties of the molecules of life, cells, tissues and organ systems in relation to homeostasis, physical development and health.
2. Examine concepts, processes and systems of chemistry, including atomic and molecular structure; quantities in chemical reactions; solutions and solubility; acids and bases; as well as organic chemistry and biochemistry in relation to health and the human body.
3. Solve numeric problems and interpret data related to health sciences and other science-related fields using mathematical concepts, including algebra and probability, along with descriptive and inferential statistics.
4. Use health sciences and other science-related language and terminology appropriately to communicate clearly, concisely, and correctly in written, spoken, and visual forms.
5. Prepare a personal strategy and plan for academic, career and professional development in the health sciences or other science-related fields.
6. Investigate health sciences and science-related questions, problems and evidence using the scientific method.

7. Examine fundamental physics laws and concepts and their application to health sciences and other science-related fields.

St. Clair College is a Canadian public community college that delivers teaching excellence and applied learning in state-of-the-art facilities.

Providing an amazing experience across three beautiful campuses, students are in the perfect environment to learn employable skills and make meaningful connections.

Teaching for over 50 years, the college offers over 100 courses across multiple levels, including degrees, diplomas, and graduate certificates. Focused in the areas of health, business and IT, media arts, social services as well as technology and trades, over 14,000 students are part of the St. Clair’s community.

Dedicated to innovative research, the college has 13 faculty members currently involved in research projects, with 81 paid students working alongside them. St. Clair was recently ranked in Canada’s top 50 research colleges (Research Infosource Inc).

Students are supported in their academic journey by modern facilities and numerous support services. The college continually invests in its infrastructure, and since 2004 has spent over CAD 1.24 million on classroom technology, study areas and subject labs. There has also been an additional CAD 3.7 million investment in a student center expansion, which will provide plenty of study and social spaces.

St. Clair’s graduates are highly employable, with 87.5 percent employed within six months of graduation. Students also stand out to employers, with 84 percent of employers stating they were satisfied with graduate’s skills and knowledge level.
