St. George’s University (SGU) aims to bring together top talent and practices from all over the globe and has become a center for academic excellence. SGU has a network of over 20,000 School of Medicine graduates around the world1. They establish themselves in rewarding careers and have impacted the health and wellness of our global community.
SGU is dedicated to providing a practical learning experience that leads students toward success. They learn in an international environment as students, alumni, and faculty come from more than 150 countries. Study options include:
- Four-year Doctor of Medicine program for university graduates
- Five-, six-, and seven-year Medical Degree Pathways for high school graduates
- First term classes start in mid-August, mid-January and mid-April
Students have options to start their medical education in Grenada, the UK, or India. The university is closely linked with many clinical partners. Clinical rotations take place in over 75 affiliated hospitals in the UK and US, meaning students have access to extensive experiences.
Global study opportunities include at Northumbria University in the UK. Students can earn their Doctor of Medicine degree and spend up to three years studying in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Another option is for students in India through a collaboration with SGU and the Ramaiah Group of Institutions.
Incoming students are admitted to SGU on a rolling basis. The School of Medicine has new intakes in August, January and April.
Grenada, West Indies
The university was founded in 1976 on the Caribbean island of Grenada. Students get to enjoy the multicultural environment and a campus filled with modern facilities. English is the official language in Grenada.
