The Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology - Electrical provides students with the necessary skills and knowledge to evaluate, design, update and implement industrial automation systems to a technical and pre-degree level. The Advanced Diploma of Engineering Technology - Electrical is designed to provide learners with the essential knowledge and associated skills to design, install, commission, fault find and maintain industrial control systems, robots and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
This course is delivered in a combination of face-to-face, workshops, tutorials, lectures, and online activities. It is comprised of 28 core units and 13 elective units. Career opportunities On successful completion of the course, the student will be expected to have the skills and knowledge to work as a technician, paraprofessional, technical officer, or manager in the areas of industrial automation, process control industries, automated manufacturing, mechatronics and general electrical systems. Successful students may find employment in manufacturing, process industry, material handling, airports, and power generation.
