Programme overview Study brain and behaviour, sensory and cognitive psychology, lifespan development, learning and communication, social, cultural, and organisational psychology, models of health and disability, with emphasis on the New Zealand context. Gain skills related to applied psychological research and practice in your current occupation or progress to postgraduate study, including postgraduate professional programmes. Programme structure This programme is part-time and will be delivered fully online. Students will take one course at a time across four 12-week term sessions.
There will be one pathway consisting of a set programme of four 30-point courses (one course at stage two that must be taken first, and three courses at stage three). PSYCH 211 – Psychology for Society (30 points) PSYCH 323 – Changes across the Lifespan (30 points) PSYCH 324 – The Behaving Brain (30 points) PSYCH 325 – Social Processes (30 points) Please note that in normal circumstances the requirements for a GradDipAppPsych must be completed within four years of initial enrolment.
