Program descriptionAccountants are central to the operations and strategies of all types of organizations as well as the foundation of short- and long-term success. As an accountant, you’ll provide business and financial advice by measuring, analyzing, forecasting and reporting organizational performance, resources and risk. You’ll be required to have integrity and the ability to think critically, communicate, and interact with others effectively.As a student in accounting you'll gain technical skills and learn how to address a broad range of business problems. You will acquire and practice the skills needed for success, including writing and presenting, using professional tools and case analyses. You’ll study financial reporting, individual and corporate taxation, business analytics and information systems, auditing, management control systems and costing, as well as variety of other management disciplines.You can also choose a minor to enhance your knowledge in a secondary line of study.
