Year 1:
Pre-Social Work at The University of Winnipeg • The University of Winnipeg is an excellent place to fulfill the entrance requirements for social work at the University of Manitoba or other universities across Canada. Each faculty of social work has its own entrance requirements. • To meet the entrance requirements of the bachelor of social work program at the University of Manitoba (Fort Garry Campus), you must complete 30 credit hours of study with a minimum 2.5 (C+) or higher Adjusted Grade Point Average (AGPA).
Years 2-4:
Professional Studies: Social Work • During your first year at The University of Winnipeg, you will apply for admission to social work at another university. Enrolment in social work programs is limited and admission is based on scholastic performance and aptitude for the profession. Volunteer work can be an asset. • At least three more years of study are required to complete a social work program.
