The music major offers small class sizes, free private instruction, flexibility to pursue double majors, and access to innovative technologies and workspaces. Individual instruction and opportunities for hands-on experience develop the musician, educator and artist in each student. The major offers options in composition, education, performance, technology, and creative technologies. Study with faculty and students from across the country and around the world. Whether on stage in Blacksburg or at Carnegie Hall, performing at local schools or touring the world, our student musicians are exposed to a range of experiences that transform the lives of both performer and audience.
