Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) is welcoming international students to apply for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) University Track. This scholarship is offered for various study programs with graduate degrees including Master and Doctoral programs.

Persyaratan

Eligible for :

• Students who meet the educational background and language requirements given by the chosen program
• Students with a minimum 750 score for TOEIC or 550 for TOEFL PBT or 79 for TOEFL iBT or 327 for new TEPS, or 6.0 for IELTS (except for applicants that graduated from English speaking countries institutions or English-taught courses proven by certificates or proof)
• Students with CGPA at least 2.64 out of 4.0 or equal or ranked within the top 20% in their past education
• Citizens of GKS partnering countries that are not Korean citizens and do not have parents with Korean citizenship and do not currently hold Korean double citizenship
• Students that are healthy physically and mentally for the duration of the program
• For graduate applicants, students that are under 40 years old (or a maximum of 45 years old for applicants that are academic professors in the Official Development Assistance (ODA) countries)
• Students that are considered as GKS Scholars are allowed to apply with extra requirements

• Prospective advisor list based on the template given by POSTECH
• Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Application form provided by NIIED
• Personal statement and Study Plan
• One recommendation letters
• GKS Applicant Agreement
• Health check report
• Copy of Passport
• Family registration certificate
• Copy of parents passport or identity card
• Undergraduate degree certificate and transcript with notarization by Korean Embassy or Apostille
• Graduate degree certificate and transcript with notarization by Korean Embassy or Apostille (for PhD applicants)
• Result of TOEIC, TOEFL PBT, TOEFL IBT, TEPS, or IELTS test (except for applicants that graduated from English speaking countries institutions or English-taught courses proven by certificates or proof)
• Proof of achievements (optional)

The documents submitted will not be returned. Documents must be submitted in the original copy (or photocopy approved by the institution releasing them). Documents that are not written in English or Korean must include a certified translation. Some programs and cases might require applicants to submit additional documents.

Deadline :

• Step 1: 27 Februari 2023 ~ 11 April 2023
• Step 2: 12 June 2023 ~ 14 September 2023

Duration of this scholarship :

The scholarship will be given for 3 years (1 year of Korean lessons) for master’s degree programs. While for the doctoral programs, the duration of the program will be 4 years (including Korean lessons for 1 year).
