Research Training Program international (RTPi) Scholarships are funded by the Australian Government and awarded to international students on the basis of academic merit and research potential.  These scholarships include a stipend (living allowance) and a fee offset for a limited time.

Benefit

• A full-time equivalent fee offset of up to 4 years for Doctoral program, and 2 years for a Masters by Research program.
• The total stipend is at least $32,500 per annum (2023 stipend rate) paid fortnightly over a maximum of 3 years for PhD students and over a maximum 2 years for Master of Research students.  The total fee-waiver is for a maximum of 3 years for PhD students and over a maximum 2 years for Master of Research students. 
• This scholarship includes Overseas Student Health Cover (Singles Cover) with UniSA's preferred provider BUPA where the successful applicant requires a student visa.  A thesis allowance is available.

Eligibility:

Basic student eligibility requirements to receive an RTP Stipend, RTP Fees Offset or RTP Allowance are covered in Section 1.5 of the rules.

For overseas students please note that there is a cap of 10 per cent on the amount of RTP funding that can be used to support overseas students.

Please note that universities are responsible for the application and selection processes for RTP Scholarships, so you will need to contact your chosen university's postgraduate research office directly to discuss how to apply.
