About Program

The Master of Architecture (Professional) is only available to international students. 

To stand out as an architect, you need to develop architectural skills on a global scale.

Bond’s Master of Architecture (Professional) is an accredited qualification for professional recognition to practice as an Architect both in Australia and internationally.

Delivered in the award-winning Abedian School of Architecture (ASA) building, it is a creative, hands-on, future-focussed learning experience where you will be immersed in innovative projects, studio workshops and research initiatives under the mentorship of internationally recognised academic-practitioners.

With an overall focus on real-world scenarios and the role of architecture in addressing urban, environmental, social and technological change on a global scale, the master’s program is presented as a series of design studios. Each unit is a combination of theoretical studies, technical proficiency and practical application, with the process culminating in a master’s thesis studio. The final component of the program is a 12-week Professional Portfolio subject where you will develop highly relevant preparation for the workplace.

With one of the lowest student-to-staff ratios of any architectural program in Australia, this small class environment enables each student to have their own assigned workspace, designed to encourage communication and collaboration with peers across all year levels.

English Language Proficiency
- TOEFL : 79 (No scores below 21 in writing, 18 in speaking, and 16 in reading and listening (select one-among IELTS, TOEFL iBT, or PTE).)
- IELTS : 6.5 (With no sub score less than 6.0 (select one-among IELTS, TOEFL iBT, or PTE))
- PTE Academic : 58 (With no communicative scores below 50 (select one-among IELTS, TOEFL iBT, or PTE))
Academic Score/Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree (Successful completion of recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) in Architecture at an institution approved by the Australia New Zealand Architecture Program Accreditation Procedure (ANZAPAP) with a minimum GPA requirement of 2 (on a 4-point scale where 1 = pass).)
Additional Requirements
- Portfolio (The portfolio should be a single A4 pdf file, no larger than 10MB (no page limit provided the file size is met), containing graphic and three dimensional architecture, design, and/or other creative work, including evidence of relevant professional experience (if applicable). Images should be accompanied with text to explain what is shown and when it was made, and clarify if any of the work is not your own (for example, produced by you as a member of a group). A cover page should be included. Portfolios will be evaluated on the basis of work which shows high-quality architectural and design ability, demonstration of conceptual depth, demonstration of technical skill and communication abilities, and the overall graphic layout and clarity of the portfolio document.)
