About Program

Objectives
This area of Concentration Studies allows students to explore the role and application of new media as well as the current media landscape in the information age. The curriculum trains students to follow through media operations in both new media and traditional media, from planning to execution of media content. With broad-based training in various scopes of media communications, students are equipped to be new media generalists in order to cope with the convergent media environment. Distinctive features include:

Acquainting with the emergent media development of social media and other creative media;
Gaining experience in the comprehensive process of media content production from research, planning, to execution in terms of writing and visualisation.

Offering practical experience by working on a comprehensive online promotion strategy for a social enterprise or non-government organisation.

Career Prospect
Graduates will be well equipped and able to apply for positions in online media, strategic communication, advertising, public relations, journalism and digital marketing.
