About Program

Gain the confidence, academic skills and knowledge to succeed in your undergraduate studies at Otago, or at another New Zealand university. In the Foundation Studies Certificate, you will focus on one main area of study – this is your stream. Within each stream you will take ten papers, including two compulsory English papers. On campus or online For over 20 years, this programme has been transforming the lives of domestic and international students, both on campus in Dunedin – and from 2020 – online from their homes outside of New Zealand. Whether online or on campus, Foundation Studies Certificate students enjoy the same high-quality teaching and learning experience, where all students are supported to develop the academic skills and confidence to succeed in their future studies.

The Business / Commerce stream may lead you to study towards the following university degrees: Bachelor of Commerce Bachelor of Science with a major in Computer Science Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Arts and Commerce The Bridging programme is available which is a 6 week course designed to increase your chances of success in the Pathway programme. It is run three times a year (February, June or October).
