Event and marketing management involves conceptualising, planning, organising and finally executing an event, and encompasses a range of activities from marketing and PR to project management in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors.
Students are involved in the design, planning, organisation, marketing and delivery of the Suffolk Business School Annual Conference. This high-profile event also offers networking opportunities and collaboration with our partnerships within local organisations. Starting with a blank sheet of paper, the topic and scope of the conference is in the hands of you and your student colleagues, previous topics having included International Women’s Day, Suffolk Tourism, Staycation, and Business Sustainability.
There are other opportunities to work on live event projects working with the Ipswich Waterfront Innovation Centre (IWIC), The Hold and the Students' Union.
