In the Wood Structure Science Department, we study the various performances of wooden buildings, wooden houses, wooden furniture, etc. (structural performance such as earthquake resistance, living environment performance such as thermal performance, etc.), and the physical properties of wooden materials (laminated timber, plywood, particle board, etc.) We conduct multifaceted research on materials development, etc. There is a curriculum that allows you to qualify for the architect exam, and it is recommended for architecture-minded students who want to study wooden architecture.
